      Sports Media is developed and maintained by an international
      association of professors and p.e. teachers. Sports Media is

FEMA for Kids: This site teaches you how to be prepared for disasters
      and how you can prevent disaster damage. You can also learn what
      causes disasters, play games, read stories and become a Disaster
      Action Kid.

History/Social Studies

Teaching with Historic Places:  Teaching with Historic Places uses

      This site is dedicated to composers of color. Use this as a music resource
      as well as Black History.

Joey Green's Wacky Science Experiments

Cassini-Huygens Mission to Saturn and Titan: The Cassini-Huygens Mission to
      the Saturnian system is a multinational cooperation between three space
      agencies and 17 nations. Starting in 2004, the spacecraft will explore Saturn,
      its mysterious rings and its many moons. The Cassini spacecraft will orbit the
      ringed planet for four years. The Huygens probe will dive into the atmosphere
      of Titan, Saturn's biggest moon. There is an Educator's section divided up into
      K-4, 5-8, and 9-12, as well as classroom materials.

Cool Science for Curious Kids: Fun and interactive site to help kids appreciate science.
      Five activities adapted from science and children's museums. From the Howard
      Hughes Medical Institute.

Sandlot Science.com: SandlotScience is not just another site with a few illusions.
      SandlotScience takes you beyond 2D with real-time, interactive 3D demonstrations.
      It's an amusement park for the mind. Over 100 original exhibits. SandlotScience
      is rich in ideas for book reports, extra credit and science projects.

Biology in Motion:  Original and entertaining biology animations and interactive
      activities, available for free on the Web.

American Science & Surplus  This is not a site with lesson plans or free stuff,
      but I felt it worth recommending. There is a ton of stuff here dealing with
      science. Lab supplies, kits and models, arts and crafts, and so much more!

Space.com:  Learn about space weather, check out the animated encyclopedia
      with a virtual space tour, head over to the "Space Views" for cool wallpaper,
      images, or send a space postcard to someone. The Universal Viewer will
      allow you a bird's eye view of images from all over the world! Space.com
      is a fun place to hang out for a while and learn while having fun!

Little Shop of Physics:  Online experiments and resources for teachers.

Life - A web based simulation: Watch the patterns change as the critters
      are born and die. Set the parameters of the game and pick one of the
      cool graphical themes. Lots of online help, and interact in the simulation
      as it happens!

The Nine Planets: An overview of our planets and moons in our solar system
      as we know them today.
