The Homeschool Curriculum Key

The Homeschool Curriculum Key

The Curriculum Key is used with the Lesson Planner Sheets. Here, you can assign a key to those books that are a part of the curriculum. While making lesson plans from the books, the book keys are used. This is a handy method as it prevents the repeated writing of books’ names in the lesson plans.

The keys should be made in such a manner that they can be easily remembered. A simple key would save your effort to look at the key sheet every time. In certain cases, you may not assign a key to some books. A key is also not always necessary if the daily planner is used for a single child. For example, a child using only the Saxon book for Math does not require a key. In case of using planners for many children, it is advisable that a curriculum key should be printed for each child.

The Curriculum Key Page comprises two columns, one meant for the title of books and the other is meant for the key. There are several rows, which are meant for writing the names of the books. The keys are usually assigned as abbreviations. For example, the book named “Worldly Wise Book 3” will be known as “WW3” or the “Easy Grammar” will be known as “EG”.
